Key Responsibilities

As a Service Technician – Part-Time Remote Customer & Equipment Support Specialist at arenaflex, you will take ownership of a wide range of duties that combine technical skill with customer engagement. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Equipment Installation and Setup: Work directly with clients to prepare physical locations for beverage service equipment, ensuring proper placement, connection, and functionality. This includes setting up soda fountain machines, refrigeration units, and related dispensing systems so that products are served at optimal temperatures.
  • Mechanical Service and Light Rebuilding: Perform mechanical services and light remanufacturing on soda fountain equipment in accordance with arenaflex quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Investigate, diagnose, and repair issues with pop fountain equipment efficiently and accurately. Use your technical aptitude to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance visits to keep all refrigeration and dispensing equipment in proper working condition, reducing the risk of unexpected breakdowns and extending the lifespan of customer assets.
  • Equipment Movement and Handling: Safely move and transport equipment as needed to perform mechanical services, including preventive maintenance, programming updates, and cosmetic restoration work on fountain machinery.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Maintain a positive attitude, function as a collaborative team player, and develop outstanding customer service-oriented relationships with every client you encounter.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete service reports, track parts usage, and communicate customer feedback to the broader arenaflex support team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Flexible Scheduling Support: Be available to respond to service needs on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as required to meet customer demands.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent degree/certification is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with substantial relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver's License: A current, valid driver's license is required, as the role involves travel to customer locations within the assigned region.
  • Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated mechanical inclination and ability to repair machines, including familiarity with beverage dispensing systems, refrigeration equipment, or similar electromechanical devices.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted, as the role involves handling equipment and components during installations and repairs.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as service needs dictate.
