About the position The Instructional Designer for Online Programs at New York University is responsible for collaborating with instructors and educational technologists to design and develop high-quality online courses for the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. This role emphasizes the application of evidence-based pedagogy and effective project management practices to ensure that courses meet their educational objectives and provide an excellent student experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with instructors to design and develop online courses for credit and non-credit programs. , Ensure high-quality course materials are created that fulfill educational objectives. , Apply evidence-based pedagogy in course design and development. , Utilize educational technology tools and systems effectively. , Implement project management practices to oversee course development processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Technology. , 3+ years of ed-tech work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 1+ years with a Master's Degree. , Demonstrated project management experience. , Understanding of educational pedagogy, particularly for online teaching and learning. , Ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative solutions. Nice-to-haves Master's Degree related to learning, instructional design, or technology. , 2+ years of experience with technology-enhanced courses and programs. , Familiarity with User Experience design trends and best practices. , Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools. , Experience working with Learning Management Systems and instructional modules/media. , Experience with prototyping and designing product experiments. , Experience with graphic design and communication design.

Benefits
