Role Description As an AMERICAS Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing EHS Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Assisting country governance leaders, site leaders, country EHS leaders and EHS points of contact with managing injury prevention initiatives and providing support for corporate, federal, country, and/or regulatory environmental, health & safety issues that surface in non-manufacturing facilities across the region.
  • Establishing and maintaining the region’s EHS Governance process, i.e., the Non-manufacturing EHS committee to ensure EHS resources are in place within each country to assist with implementing required EHS processes and programs.
  • Assisting all sites with completing EHS self-assessments and developing annual improvement plans.
  • Being responsible for assisting with the development of Global EHS policies, standards and programs that are aligned with Global EHS Strategy and leading implementation across the AMERICAS region’s manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites.
  • Assisting AMERICAS site EHS managers and site leaders with managing serious injury & fatality (SIF) & Non-SIF prevention initiatives and providing support for corporate, federal, country, and/or regulatory environmental, health & safety issues that surface in manufacturing facilities across the region.
  • Assisting AMERICAS sites with implementing Solventum’s Environmental, Health & Safety Management system, and Global EHS policies & standards.
  • Leading the implementation at AMERICAS sites of Solventum’s EHS enterprise-wide compliance process to comply with applicable regulatory, and legal requirements and Solventum’s EHS policies, standards and programs.
  • Conducting incident investigations involving SIFs, potential SIFs and Non-SIF incidents and assisting manufacturing sites with their investigations and preparation of learning content, e.g., EHS alerts, bulletins and best practices to expedite horizontal deployment across the business.
  • Analyzing EHS incident data, i.e., reviewing root causes and corrective actions for trends and developing potential improvement plans.
  • Providing analysis of environmental regulatory changes and developing compliance guidance to regional and site EHS and operations leaders.
  • Assisting with EHS due diligence and acquisition integration activities.
  • Leading and participating in Solventum Global EHS Audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND ten (10) years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Safety Sciences, or Engineering in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Five (5) years of site EHS leadership experience OR three (3) years of multi-site EHS support experience.
  • Experience implementing serious injury and fatality prevention initiatives, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems (e.g., ISO 14001 or ISO 45001), and EHS compliance programs.
  • Experience applying U.S. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
  • Experience developing and implementing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs.
  • Experience leading teams or managing EHS functions, including people leadership or coordination of team activities.
  • Experience communicating EHS requirements, risks, and outcomes through written reports, presentations, or stakeholder discussions.
  • Experience applying analytical and problem-solving approaches to resolve EHS-related issues and improve outcomes.
  • Experience working in multicultural or global environments, including collaboration across diverse teams or regions.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders at multiple organizational levels to support EHS initiatives and compliance.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing or internal stakeholder needs, including service delivery or issue resolution.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies and delivering completed improvement projects.

  • The expected compensation range for this position is $163,200 - $224,400, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
