Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Enterprise Customer Engineer who will specialize in Infrastructure Modernization for arenaflex’s cloud platform. In this role, you will partner directly with senior technical leaders, architects, and decision‑makers at Fortune‑500 companies, government agencies, and fast‑growing startups. Your mission: to translate business challenges into scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud solutions, while showcasing arenaflex’s differentiated technology stack.
This position is remote‑eligible for candidates across the United States, with optional in‑office collaboration at any of our many U.S. hubs, including but not limited to Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boulder, CO; Cambridge, MA; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Irvine, CA; Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; and many others. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a senior technical consultant to key customers, helping them define and execute cloud migration roadmaps that align with their business objectives, compliance requirements, and performance targets.
- Solution Design & Architecture: Craft end‑to‑end infrastructure designs that leverage arenaflex’s compute, storage, networking, and security services. Emphasize best practices for multi‑region resilience, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
- Proof‑of‑Concept Leadership: Lead hands‑on proof‑of‑concept (POC) engagements, demonstrating the value of arenaflex’s platform through real‑world workloads, performance benchmarking, and detailed technical walkthroughs.
- Technical Enablement: Develop reusable assets—architecture diagrams, migration playbooks, automation scripts, and reference implementations—that empower both customers and internal sales/engineering teams.
- Product Influence: Act as the voice of the customer within arenaflex, providing actionable feedback that shapes product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and documentation.
- Thought Leadership & Public Speaking: Deliver compelling technical presentations at customer sites, industry conferences, webinars, and internal training sessions.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Partner with sales, product management, support, and engineering peers to ensure a seamless customer experience from pre‑sale through post‑sale adoption.
- Travel: Occasionally travel to customer locations, industry events, and arenaflex campuses to deepen relationships and gather market insights.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) or cloud‑native architectures in a customer‑facing or support capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver technical presentations or public speaking engagements to senior technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Proven track record designing, building, and operating large‑scale, secure, distributed systems.
- Deep expertise with container ecosystems—Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, serverless frameworks, and micro‑service architectures.
- Experience assessing complex on‑premises workloads and crafting migration strategies that balance performance, security, and cost.
- Strong programming or scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and tooling.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Cloud Architect, or similar credentials.
