About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Digital Infrastructure

arenaflex is a global leader in building the backbone of the internet, delivering cutting‑edge hardware, data‑center solutions, and cloud services that power billions of daily interactions. Our mission is to create resilient, scalable, and sustainable infrastructure that enables seamless digital experiences for users worldwide. As a remote‑first organization, arenaflex empowers talent from every corner of the United States to collaborate, innovate, and grow without the constraints of a traditional office environment.

Why This Role Matters

Our Data Entry & Manufacturing Engineering team sits at the intersection of product design, high‑volume production, and data‑center operations. As an Entry‑Level Engineer, you will help translate complex product specifications into repeatable, cost‑effective manufacturing processes that keep our server farms humming. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience with world‑class hardware, learn from seasoned professionals, and contribute directly to the reliability of the services that millions rely on every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Create, refine, and manage flexible manufacturing workflows for server‑farm components, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and scalability.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Design, and Operations teams to identify potential manufacturing challenges early in the product lifecycle.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Analyze complex engineering data, translate insights into actionable manufacturing strategies, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • Supplier Management: Lead the evaluation, qualification, and performance improvement of suppliers, emphasizing future capacity and technology readiness.
  • Product Data Management (PDM): Utilize PDM tools to generate Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Requests (ECR).
  • Lifecycle Management (PLM): Coordinate with the PLM team to maintain accurate product structures, BOMs, and configuration data throughout the product’s lifecycle.
  • Process Documentation: Produce clear, concise documentation of manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure repeatability across global facilities.
  • Travel Flexibility: Be prepared to travel up to 30 % of the time to supplier sites, data‑center locations, or internal labs for hands‑on validation and process audits.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on experience in electrical design, circuit layout, or assembly design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) activities, including BOM creation and change control.
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 6 years) with high‑voltage, high‑density server‑farm environments or similar large‑scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to both engineering and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of driving yield improvements and cycle‑time reductions for high‑volume, high‑complexity parts.
  • Hands‑on experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and 8D problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Background in data‑center power distribution design, including high‑voltage DC systems.
  • Familiarity with PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle.
  • Experience using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Altium Designer) for creating and iterating assembly drawings.
  • Ability to influence electrical design and assembly processes through data‑driven recommendations.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Problem Solving: Ability to dissect complex engineering challenges and develop pragmatic, cost‑effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who thrives in a matrixed environment, building relationships across disciplines and geographies.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to documentation, data integrity, and quality control.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast‑paced, evolving technology landscape and shifting priorities.
  • Self‑Motivation: Proactive in seeking learning opportunities, taking ownership of tasks, and delivering results with minimal supervision.

  • Clear career pathways toward senior engineering, program management, or technical specialist tracks.
  • Support for industry certifications (e.g., Certified Manufacturing Engineer, PMP) and tuition reimbursement for advanced degrees.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive total rewards package that includes:

  • Base salary ranging from $35,000 – $45,000 per year, commensurate with experience and location.
