Whether you are a recent graduate eager to apply your quantitative skills or an early‑career professional looking for a remote role that blends data science with real‑world business impact, arenaflex offers a dynamic environment where your ideas can soar.

Why This Role Is Unique

This position is a hybrid of data entry, statistical analysis, and AI‑enabled modeling, designed for candidates who thrive in a remote setting while contributing to high‑impact projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—finance, operations, product development, and senior leadership—to translate raw data into actionable insights that shape the future of aviation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Acquisition & Entry: Accurately collect, validate, and input large volumes of structured and unstructured data from internal systems and external sources, ensuring data integrity for downstream analytics.
  • Statistical Analysis & Reporting: Apply descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform financial, operational, and strategic decisions.
  • Predictive Modeling & AI Integration: Develop, test, and refine predictive models using machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to forecast demand, optimize routes, and improve maintenance schedules.
  • Business Insight Generation: Translate quantitative findings into clear, concise business recommendations, preparing executive‑level presentations and dashboards that tell a compelling data story.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with product managers, engineers, and senior analysts to understand business requirements, share insights, and iterate on solution designs.
  • Quality Assurance & Risk Management: Identify data quality issues, assess model risk, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure analytical outputs meet rigorous aviation standards.
  • Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends in statistics, AI, and big‑data technologies, proactively suggesting enhancements to arenaflex’s analytical toolkit.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, model specifications, and analytical methodologies for future reference and regulatory compliance.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline. A Master’s degree or PhD is highly desirable.
  • Technical Foundations: Demonstrated experience with statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, Python) and data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Pandas, NumPy).
  • Programming Proficiency: Strong coding skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, R, Java, or C++. Familiarity with version control (Git) is a plus.
  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to design, execute, and interpret complex statistical analyses, including hypothesis testing, regression modeling, and time‑series forecasting.
  • Business Insight: Understanding of core business processes within aviation—finance, operations, and product development—to contextualize analytical outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of presenting technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders with clarity and impact.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively in remote, cross‑functional teams, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.
  • Legal Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Experience

  • Graduate coursework or professional experience in advanced machine learning, deep learning, or AI model deployment.
  • Hands‑on experience with big‑data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Prior exposure to the aviation or transportation industry, especially in areas such as fleet management, route optimization, or safety analytics.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to craft interactive dashboards.
  • Experience writing production‑grade code for large‑scale data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, and model serving.
  • Minor or coursework in software engineering, with a solid grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
  • Two or more years of professional experience in a quantitative or analytical role, preferably within a fast‑paced, data‑driven organization.
  • Knowledge of Julia or other emerging programming languages for scientific computing.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Quantitative Reasoning: Ability to dissect complex problems, develop robust analytical frameworks, and draw logical conclusions from data.
  • Problem‑Solving: Creative thinker who can propose innovative solutions to ambiguous business challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous data entry and validation practices to ensure high‑quality inputs for modeling.
  • Project Management: Capability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with evolving business environments, shifting priorities, and rapid technology adoption.
  • Ethical Judgment: Commitment to data privacy, security, and ethical AI practices, especially critical in the aviation sector.
