[Remote] Senior Account Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Marqeta is on a mission to change the way money moves, providing a card issuing platform that offers flexibility and control for companies. As a Senior Account Manager, you will support one of their largest global strategic accounts, ensuring high-quality client service and identifying opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities

- As a trusted partner leading with insights, you push yourself, the team, and your customers to think outside of the box and find creative solutions to strategic challenges
- You don’t sit around and wait for things to happen. You model, plan, and monitor a path to growth based on the right data
- Our customers and partners rely deeply on the expertise and knowledge of our Account Managers. You excel at supporting cross-functional efforts and love connecting people and ideas to drive innovation
- You already have deep knowledge of disruption in the financial services industry or possess a strong desire to learn the ropes while working with the top innovators in the space
- Proven experience growing and scaling strategic or enterprise accounts
- Proven track record of managing global customers with multi region stakeholders
- Proven track record of cross-selling and upselling, and ability to identify new revenue streams based on customer needs
- Experience partnering with banking operations teams and external banking partners to drive critical submissions to completion
- Experience participating in business reviews and using data-driven strategies to make informed decisions
Skills
- 5+ years of Global Enterprise Account Management experience in the payments industry
- Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email) and track record of creating and executing strategic account plans
- Strong grasp of industry trends and competitive landscape
- Familiarity and first-hand knowledge in fintech, banking or payments
- Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, and resourceful
- Technical aptitude with demonstrated ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in a straightforward manner
- Experience or familiarity with high-growth fintechs and financial services companies
- Card Issuing and Processing experience
