[Remote] Account Executive - Southeast

Upside Search is representing a rapidly growing packaging company that serves the food processing and manufacturing industries across the United States. The role of Account Executive involves driving territory growth through strategic business development and managing customer relationships within the Southeast region.

Responsibilities

  • Drive aggressive territory growth through strategic business development and relationship-driven sales efforts across the Southeast region
  • Develop new customer relationships within food processors, food manufacturers, packers, and related food industry organizations
  • Manage and expand existing customer accounts while identifying additional revenue opportunities within those relationships
  • Execute a highly proactive “hunter” sales approach through cold calling, prospecting, networking, and industry relationship building
  • Partner closely with leadership to execute territory growth strategies and expand overall market presence
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by identifying packaging challenges and delivering tailored solutions
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through consistent outbound activity and customer engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal operations, customer support, and leadership teams to ensure exceptional client experience
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed to support customer relationships, prospect meetings, and business development initiatives
  • Represent the organization professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and trade-related functions
  • Continuously monitor market activity, customer trends, and competitive dynamics within the food packaging industry
  • Contribute directly to the continued expansion of the company’s brand and market share throughout the Southeast region

Skills

  • 5–10 years of business development, account management, or outside sales experience within the food industry required
  • Experience selling into food processors, food manufacturers, packers, or related food industry organizations required
  • Must be located within the Southeastern part of the United States
  • Strong “hunter mentality” with the ability to prospect, cold call, and generate new opportunities independently
  • Ability to work remotely while managing territory priorities
  • Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling capabilities
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast region as needed
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required based on overall industry and sales experience
