[Remote] Finance Internship
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ottimate is an AI-powered AP automation platform that helps finance teams streamline their operations. They are seeking a Finance Intern who will assist with internal financial operations, SaaS metric tracking, and month-end close support while gaining exposure to the financial ecosystem of a growing B2B SaaS company.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day corporate AP and accounting tasks—living our mission by helping manage workflows, vendor records, and internal reconciliations
- Support the team in tracking and organizing key SaaS growth data (such as ARR, MRR, customer churn, and net revenue retention) for executive dashboards
- Help process internal employee expense reports, manage corporate spend logs, and cross-reference purchasing documentation
- Partner with internal accountants during the month-end closing process, assisting with bank ledger updates, data verification, and journal entries
- Gain deep product knowledge by utilizing modern ERP integrations (like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks) and seeing how financial data maps across systems
- Help research market trends, organize data for financial audits, and support special strategic projects for the corporate operations team
Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Strong foundation in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (comfort with formulas like VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables is required)
- An interest in AI, automation, and B2B SaaS. Familiarity with standard accounting tools or a desire to master cloud ERPs is a big plus
- You pride yourself on accuracy and spot errors before others do
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are comfortable collaborating across fully remote or hybrid team settings
