[Remote] Consultant, Revenue Site Operations, Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) - REMOTE
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trinity Health is a healthcare organization seeking a Consultant for Revenue Site Operations in Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The role involves advising on strategy implementation and supporting various operational initiatives, ensuring effective service delivery and project management.
Responsibilities
- Provides consultative support to Trinity Health functional area Leadership in the implementation of strategy, operational services & other initiatives
- Proactively consults & engages operationally on development & implementation of programs & strategies
- Provides business context to ensure consistency with decision support, communication, business administration & the development & use of business tools
- Provides leadership, direction & oversight of workstreams
- Responsible for the development, implementation & management of processes, policies & procedures
- Ensures processes, policies & procedures are communicated, implemented & aligned
- Serves as a technical resource of business operational services, issue resolution & implementation of recommended actions
- Facilitates & develops processes & tools
- Provides escalated support, guidance & training to department members (remotely & on-site) to use new technologies & applications, as well as to improve knowledge of existing ones
- Identify the organizational improvements needed, develop systems to implement those changes & train the appropriate staff
- Manages & implements small to medium-scale projects, programs & initiatives
- Develops & manages aligned production, communications, service delivery plans & workflows to ensure plans are successfully implemented & services are delivered on time, within budget & to specifications
- Conducts informational training sessions with groups of various sizes & backgrounds
- Research & compile information to support ad-hoc operational projects & initiatives
- Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends & recommending practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy & supporting leadership decision-making
- Leverages program & operational data & measurements to define & demonstrate progress, Return on Investment (ROI) & impacts
- Develops & monitors data analysis & reporting systems & communication tools
- Maintains a Working Knowledge of applicable federal, state & local laws / regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices
- Provides leadership for system-wide revenue cycle initiatives; partners with Regional Patient Access leadership & Health Informatics to identify & resolve gaps in pre-registration & financial clearance processes; Serves as a subject matter expert
- Collaborates with site location(s) front office & billing colleagues to improve revenue cycle performance through metric review, root cause analysis & developing / implementing action plans; Serves as a liaison between coding & site operations to address process gaps and risks
- Supports new business growth and acquisitions through front office assessments, gap analysis, future state recommendations, ang go-live support; Collaborates with Project Implementation team on revenue-related discovery for new sites identifying gaps & risks for implementation & aligning site process with Trinity Health Enterprise
- Communicates with stakeholders to ensure coordinated efforts between all revenue-related departments (e.g., Revenue Integrity, Billing, Coding. Partners with physicians and offices to maintain pre- and post[1]implementation communication
- Maintains and strengthens relationships with providers and stakeholders to promote collaboration and operational consistency
- Monitors contract management and ensures payer contracts are uploaded timely and accurately in designated technology applications (e.g., Electronic Health Record (EHR) and partners with billing and payer strategies
Skills
- Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of professional billing, as normally obtained through Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Accounting, or a related field & / or 7-10 years of professional billing experience
- Experience / knowledge of ASC's Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes
- Experience / knowledge of electronic practice management systems
- Knowledge of practice management systems for billing & office procedures, managed care & insurance practices, insurance claims & billing process
- Medical Assistant (MA), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or other healthcare certification
- Six Sigma or LEAN certification
- Previous leadership in a related area
