JOB DUTIES: Responsible for building high performance data processing solutions. Provide support with solving complex engineering challenges, devising creative solutions, and providing guidance on complex engineering matters. Design, develop, and maintain micro services following best practices, ensuring optimal performance and integration with other system components. Create, optimize, and manage data structures and pipelines. Work with complex data models and ensure smooth data flow within the system. Integrate external services and Application Programming Interfaces (API) as required to enhance functionality and interoperability. Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, driving the adoption of new tools and methodologies. Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions are aligned with business needs. Implement and maintain robust security protocols, ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations. Follow and promote best practices in coding, design, and development methodologies, maintaining quality and consistency across the team. Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability and system scalability. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems or related field of study and 5 years of progressive experience in Software Engineering. Applicants must have demonstrated experience with: 1) 5 years of experience designing, building and maintaining backend systems. 2) 5 years of experience with data storage solutions, including SQL and NoSQL databases. 3) 5 years of experience with programming languages C#, Java, or Scala. 4) 5 years of experience with cloud platforms AWS, GCP or Azure. 5) 5 years of experience with building distributed HTTP web services. 6) Working with microservices architecture.
