The Manager-Sponsorships and Strategic Partnerships leads the strategy, development, and management of partnerships and sponsorships that drive organizational growth and strengthen brand impact. It identifies, evaluates, and negotiates partner and vendor relationships that support long-term business objectives. This role oversees contract execution, performance management, and governance to ensure partnerships deliver expected value and strengthen the organization’s competitive position. The Manager-Sponsorships and Strategic Partnerships collaborates across the organization to align initiatives with enterprise goals, guides planning and budgeting, and evaluates ROI. Ultimately, this role ensures partnership and sponsorship investments advance both brand presence and business strategy. This position has the ability to work remotely in any of the 40+ States in which TDS Telecom operates but with a preference to reside in our Idaho, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, or Wisconsin markets.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead enterprise partnership and sponsorship strategies aligned with long‑term business, marketing, and technology objectives. Identify, evaluate, and select strategic partners, vendors, and sponsorship properties, including managing RFQ processes, scoring, and executive recommendations. Negotiate and manage contracts, service‑level agreements (SLA), and partner/vendor performance through scorecards and periodic business reviews. Drive cross‑functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering, IS, Legal, and external agencies to execute sponsorships and partner solutions. Oversee budget forecasting, tracking, and ROI analysis to guide investment decisions and ensure partnership effectiveness. Provide strategic leadership across program execution, including partner technology implementation, sponsorship activation, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience. 5+ years of experience in marketing, business development, vendor management, product/partnership management, or event/sponsorship management. 2+ years of supervisory experience. Other Qualifications MBA or advanced degree preferred. Advertising and integrated marketing experience. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial analysis, and business case development. Proven negotiation experience with corporate sponsorships, vendor contracts, or strategic partnerships. Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Ability to understand technical issues and translate them into business strategies. Agency experience and event marketing expertise. Experience in telecommunications industry. Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and executive‑level presentation abilities.
