Position Overview

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist – Day Shift you will be the guardian of data integrity for arenaflex’s payroll and employee information systems. Working primarily from the Philippines, you will partner with the APAC Finance and Payroll teams to ensure that every employee’s compensation, benefits, and statutory obligations are processed accurately and on time. Your day‑to‑day activities will blend high‑volume data entry, rigorous validation, and proactive communication with internal stakeholders and external payroll service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Core Data Management

  • Enter, verify, and update employee payroll data in arenaflex’s HR platform with a focus on precision and speed.
  • Maintain and audit master data files to guarantee completeness, consistency, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Process weekly expense reimbursements through arenaflex’s host‑to‑host integration, ensuring timely payment to employees.
  • Generate, post, and reconcile payroll changes—including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations—across all APAC entities.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for new hires and leavers to the external payroll provider, meeting all statutory deadlines.

Payroll Execution & Compliance

  • Execute end‑to‑end payroll runs for assigned APAC countries using arenaflex’s third‑party payroll partner.
  • Validate payroll inputs against source records, flagging discrepancies and coordinating corrective actions with the payroll provider.
  • Coordinate statutory payments (taxes, social security, etc.) and ensure compliance with local labor regulations in Korea, Australia, India, and other APAC jurisdictions.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and year‑end payroll reports, supporting internal finance audits and external regulatory filings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries via arenaflex’s ticketing system, delivering clear, courteous, and timely resolutions.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner closely with the Philippines and Singapore finance teams to align processes, share best practices, and drive system enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data entry workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve data quality across the payroll lifecycle.
  • Participate in regular cross‑functional meetings, providing insights on data trends, error patterns, and compliance risks.
  • Assist in the rollout of new payroll modules, system upgrades, and policy changes, ensuring smooth adoption across the APAC region.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands‑on payroll or accounting processing experience within a BPO, shared services, or similar high‑volume environment.
  • Regional Expertise: Demonstrated experience handling payroll for APAC countries, particularly Korea, Australia, and India.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll‑related statutory requirements, tax calculations, and compliance obligations in the APAC region.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in arenaflex’s HR platform (formerly Workday), as well as strong command of arenaflex’s spreadsheet tools (formerly Google Sheets), arenaflex’s email suite (formerly Gmail), and arenaflex’s document applications (formerly Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; ability to convey complex payroll concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent.
  • Experience with payroll integration tools and APIs.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s ticketing system (formerly Zendesk) for handling employee queries.
  • Exposure to global payroll software implementations and change‑management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining high levels of collaboration.
