Role Overview

The Remote Network Support Analyst is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing arenaflex’s extensive network environment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external service providers, and cross‑functional teams to resolve incidents, implement improvements, and maintain documentation that meets industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Monitoring & Incident Management: Monitor network health, respond to alerts, and manage the incident lifecycle—from detection and classification to resolution and post‑mortem reporting.
  • Cisco Hardware Design & Deployment: Assist in the design, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls across data centers, warehouses, colocation sites, and cloud environments.
  • Network Asset Auditing: Conduct regular audits of network equipment to verify compliance with performance and security standards.
  • Project Support: Participate in network upgrade and migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • ITIL Process Adherence: Follow ITIL‑aligned incident, problem, change, and request fulfillment processes to maintain service quality.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive incident records, run‑books, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a clear, searchable format.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Provide timely updates to end‑users, business partners, and senior leadership during incidents and service requests.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with service providers and equipment vendors to expedite repairs, replacements, and escalations.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze network performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend proactive enhancements.
  • Proactive Task Management: Execute daily operational checklists, assign tasks via Smartsheet, and ensure follow‑through on all open tickets.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead or contribute to weekly team meetings, share insights, and mentor peers on best practices.
  • Escalation Handling: Open and manage Cisco TAC cases for hardware failures, tracking progress until resolution.
  • On‑Call Support: Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule to provide after‑hours assistance, including weekends and holidays.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a support‑oriented role or a related network administration position.
  • Fundamental understanding of Ethernet, Fiber, MPLS, VPN, ISDN, Dedicated IP, and Routing protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of network devices and configurations, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Solid grasp of subnetting, VLANs, and IP addressing schemes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer‑service orientation.
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities, especially in incident diagnosis and resolution.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and request management.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into plain language for non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on process improvement and consistency.
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and to support off‑hours shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience working in a large‑scale distribution center or warehouse environment, preferably within arenaflex.
  • Hands‑on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
  • CCNA certification or progress toward certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for automation of routine tasks.
  • Knowledge of network testing equipment (e.g., cable testers, spectrum analyzers).
