Why This Role Matters

The Energy Services Data Entry Clerk (Typist) is a pivotal member of the arenaflex team. In this remote, work‑from‑home position, you will ensure that our client information is accurate, up‑to‑date, and securely maintained. Your meticulous attention to detail will directly support program delivery, compliance reporting, and the overall effectiveness of our energy assistance initiatives. By keeping our digital records pristine, you enable case managers, program directors, and external partners to focus on what matters most – delivering vital services to those who need them.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Enter, verify, and update client status records in the arenaflex Client Service Center, reflecting real‑time progress through the production pipeline.
  • Monitor incoming emails, documents, and communications, logging each item in the arenaflex platform (formerly Monday.com) as soon as it arrives.
  • Follow program guidelines for the use of all required database systems, including arenaflex (formerly CMS), arenaflex (formerly CSG eConservation), arenaflex (formerly HEARTWAP), arenaflex (formerly LIHEAP), and arenaflex (formerly In Demand).
  • Maintain organized digital and paper participant files in strict accordance with program policies, ensuring compliance with both agency standards and funder requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with program staff to enhance communication flow, promote consistency in service delivery, and troubleshoot any data‑related issues.
  • Provide clerical support such as filing, preparing mailings, handling phone coverage, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Remain available for remote work, attending virtual meetings, responding to emails promptly, and completing regular duties within agreed‑upon timelines.
  • Participate in all required staff meetings, supervision sessions, training workshops, and contractual briefings.
  • Engage in mandatory agency training and ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards, safeguarding client information and sensitive program data at all times.
  • Perform related duties and special projects that support the broader mission of arenaflex as they arise.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in human services, social services, or a comparable environment, working with diverse individuals and families, particularly those with low incomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and comfort learning new web‑based platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear, concise documentation.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data‑security protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving program guidelines and technology updates.
