The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Information Engineer to join our dynamic remote team. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using industry-leading tools and technologies
  • Architect and implement database schemas, tables, and views optimized for performance and scalability
  • Create and monitor batch processes using Apache Airflow for various data engineering initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Studios and Enterprise Technology to gather data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Develop and implement data validation scripts and processes to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Deploy data solutions across multiple environments including Development, QA/UAT, and Production
  • Utilize a diverse technology stack including SQL, Python, Docker, GitLab, Airflow, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL
  • Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Document data architectures, processes, and procedures for knowledge transfer and maintenance
  • Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and methodologies

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Information Engineering role
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL for data manipulation and analysis
  • 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3
  • 2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design, implementation, and optimization
  • 2+ years of experience using GitLab/GitHub for version control and collaboration
  • 2+ years of experience using Docker for containerization and deployment
  • Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with Apache Airflow, Databricks, and related orchestration tools
  • Experience with Snowflake, Looker, and related analytics and visualization platforms
  • Experience in streaming, media, or digital marketing industries
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or data engineering technologies
  • Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI integration in data pipelines
