They are seeking an early-career Environmental Engineer or Scientist in Bellevue, WA to perform laboratory treatability studies for site characterization and remediation projects, interacting with technical experts and ensuring high-quality delivery of test results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory treatability studies associated with site characterization and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients
  • Interact with Jacobs’ technical experts to develop field sampling and test plans
  • Execute the tests, coordinating between project, analytical laboratory, and vendor groups to ensure high-quality delivery of test results
  • Plot incoming data and analyze it to see the story come together
  • Showcase work through project updates, technical reports, presentations, and sometimes a journal publication

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering), Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, or Hydrogeology
  • Valid drivers license is required
  • United States Citizenship required
  • Must be local to Bellevue, WA
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a regionally-diverse team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mentally walk through a process to identify and close gaps in written procedures for non-standard tasks to ensure all objectives will be met
  • Familiarity with standard environmental test methods and procedures
  • 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification
