Position Overview

Job Title: Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) – GRR Hiring Organization: arenaflex Industry: Private – Aviation & Logistics Employment Type: Full-Time Work Hours: 8 hours per shift (scheduled between 20–40 hours per week depending on operational needs) Salary: $26 per hour Location: Michigan, USA

As a Ramp Agent at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in ensuring that freight, baggage, and cargo are transported safely, securely, and on schedule — every single time. Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of our ground operations team, you will handle a variety of physical and detail-oriented tasks that keep our operation moving. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Loading and Unloading Cargo: Safely lift, load, unload, and transport luggage, mail, and freight to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and accurate deliveries.
  • Guiding Aircraft: Direct incoming and departing aircraft safely from gate positions using proper hand signals and communication protocols.
  • Protecting Shipments: Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, theft, and inclement weather conditions.
  • Operating Ground Equipment: Drive and operate specialized ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors, even in congested ramp areas.
  • Using Scanners and Computers: Operate baggage scanners and computer systems to ensure that every item is routed accurately to its final destination.
  • Adapting to Schedules: Work flexible shifts ranging from early mornings to late nights, as scheduling is based on the unique flight schedule of each station.
  • Maintaining Safety Standards: Practice safety-conscious behaviors in every operational process and procedure, especially when working in harsh weather conditions such as heat, rain, or snow.
  • Physical Stamina: Perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, lifting (bags weighing up to 50–70 pounds), standing, and walking for extended periods.
