Our mission is to create a seamless, data‑driven experience for every passenger, crew member, and partner across the globe. As a leading player in the aviation industry, arenaflex combines cutting‑edge cloud technologies, advanced analytics, and a culture of continuous learning to keep the skies safe, efficient, and sustainable. If you are passionate about turning raw data into strategic advantage, you have found the perfect launchpad for your career.

Why This Role Will Inspire You

Joining arenaflex means you will be at the heart of a high‑impact team that fuels the company’s data‑centric transformation. You will:

  • Help design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that power critical business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional product owners, data scientists, and engineers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Play a pivotal role in a fast‑growing Analytics & Data Engineering group that values curiosity, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Gain exposure to industry‑leading cloud platforms, modern data‑lake architectures, and real‑time streaming technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end data ingestion pipelines using Azure services (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Event Hub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, etc.) and open‑source tools.
  • Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to understand data sources, define ingestion requirements, and ensure data quality.
  • Cloud Architecture & Deployment: Participate in the full lifecycle of cloud solutions—architecture, security, networking, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
  • CI/CD & DevOps Practices: Implement automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.
  • Performance Tuning & Monitoring: Optimize data processing jobs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and set up alerts and dashboards for proactive issue resolution.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior team members on best practices, coding standards, and emerging technologies to foster a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain clear documentation of data flows, schemas, and data lineage; support data governance initiatives using tools such as Informatica Axon and BigID.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing data pipelines with an agile, DevOps‑oriented approach.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services, especially Azure Data Lake, Azure Event Hub, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Snowflake, MongoDB, Cassandra, Teradata).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in large‑scale data engineering projects, preferably within the aviation or transportation sector.
  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data catalog tools (Informatica Axon, DataHub, etc.).
  • Certification in Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar cloud credentials.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex data problems and propose elegant, efficient solutions.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing data workflows.
  • Teamwork: Comfortable working in cross‑functional, remote teams and contributing to a shared vision.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment where priorities shift and new technologies emerge.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with industry trends, cloud advancements, and best practices.
