Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our support team, you will be responsible for:

  • Family Empowerment: Engage with families who have found permanency through various pathways, including reintegration, adoption, custodianship, guardianship, or as aged-out youth. Provide guidance and encouragement to help these families thrive.
  • Resource Connection: Research, identify, and connect families with community resources including housing assistance, healthcare services, educational programs, employment opportunities, and social support networks.
  • Advocacy: Advocate on behalf of families and children to ensure they receive the services and support they are entitled to. Navigate complex systems and act as a knowledgeable bridge between families and service providers.
  • Assessment and Planning: Assess family needs, strengths, and goals. Develop individualized support plans that address unique circumstances and promote long-term stability.
  • Case Management: Maintain detailed case files, document progress, and track outcomes. Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Relationship Building: Build trusting, supportive relationships with families. Serve as a reliable point of contact and consistent source of encouragement throughout their journey.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with community partners, agencies, and service providers to expand resource networks and enhance support capabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation, as occasional travel for community outreach may be required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
  • Compassion and Empathy: Genuine compassion for children and families, with the ability to listen actively and respond with empathy.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, track important details, and maintain accurate records.

  • Familiarity with child welfare systems, family support programs, or community resources.

Compensation and Rewards

The average hourly compensation for this role is $19.06, which includes wages, incentives, bonuses, overtime, and shift differentials.
