Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Visual Marketing Manager to lead our in-store visual merchandising initiatives across our California locations. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, implementing, and optimizing visual marketing strategies that elevate the customer experience while driving measurable business results.

As a key leader within our Visual Marketing function, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Space Planning, Store Operations, and Merchandising to bring our brand vision to life in every store. Your expertise in visual merchandising, creative direction, and project management will be instrumental in creating engaging retail environments that inspire customers and support our store partners.

What You'll Do

• Lead Visual Merchandising Strategy: Develop and execute in-store visual marketing strategies including display execution, fixture placement, lighting, signage, and promotional materials for large and complex projects
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Advertising, Space Planning, and Store Operations teams to ensure unified execution of visual initiatives across all channels
• Project Management: Oversee major visual marketing projects from concept through implementation, managing cross-functional teams and ensuring timely store delivery
• Space Optimization: Apply space planning and visual merchandising techniques to maximize product visibility and customer flow throughout retail spaces
• Team Development: Mentor and develop Visual Marketing Specialists, fostering skill growth and creating inclusive, high-performing teams
• Tool & Resource Development: Contribute to the improvement of Visual Marketing tools, resources, and onboarding guides that enhance team effectiveness
• Performance Analysis: Utilize data and insights to customize in-store experiences and influence store partners (Merchants, Planning, and RBX)
• Process Improvement: Partner with store operations to achieve visual marketing functional goals by designing cross-functional processes
• Sales Floor Excellence: Implement and execute sales floor capacity guidelines to support Merchants and Planning teams
• Seasonal Initiatives: Drive seasonal performance priorities, alternate approaches, and marketing campaigns by optimizing presentations and in-store execution
• Training & Leadership: Co-lead in-store Visual Marketing training sessions with Visual Operations Managers to achieve quarterly objectives and establish schedules across apparel, home, and seasonal hardlines

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Visual Arts, Communications, or related field; OR equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in Visual Marketing or Visual Merchandising within a retail environment
• 2+ years of in-store retail operations experience
• Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor, build capabilities, and develop diverse and inclusive teams
• Strong self-motivation and self-direction with the ability to build processes and solutions when parameters are not defined
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and thoroughly in fast-moving environments
• Strong prioritization and organization skills while remaining nimble and calm under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with big-box retail operations preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing visual marketing projects
• Background in print production and visual communications
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Knowledge of retail analytics and data-driven merchandising decisions
• Experience with space planning tools and retail layout optimization
