Our mission is to help people save money so they can live better, and we achieve that by combining deep industry expertise with cutting‑edge analytics, sustainable practices, and a relentless focus on customer experience.

Our Global Security, Aviation, and Investigations division is the backbone of arenaflex’s risk‑management strategy. It safeguards the integrity of our operations, protects our brand reputation, and ensures compliance with an ever‑evolving regulatory landscape. As part of this division, the Principal Data Analyst role sits at the heart of the Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center (IROCC), the analytics hub that drives insight, foresight, and action across the enterprise.

Why This Role Matters – The Impact You’ll Have

In today’s hyper‑connected world, data is the most valuable asset for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk. As a Principal Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will translate complex data sets into clear, actionable intelligence that guides senior leadership, legal teams, and business partners. Your work will directly influence how arenaflex anticipates emerging threats, strengthens controls, and maintains the highest standards of corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Discovery & Integration: Identify, collect, and harmonize data from disparate internal systems and external sources across the United States and global operations to support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and compliance initiatives.
  • Dashboard & Visualization Design: Build intuitive, interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools that enable stakeholders to monitor risk exposure, control effectiveness, and compliance status in real time.
  • Advanced Analytics & Modeling: Apply statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and predictive modeling (using Python or R) to uncover hidden patterns, forecast risk trends, and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting & Storytelling: Translate analytical findings into compelling narratives for legal counsel, compliance officers, and senior business leaders, ensuring that data‑driven insights drive decision‑making.
  • Process Improvement: Provide continuous feedback on emerging risk areas, refine ERM processes, and champion best‑in‑class analytical methodologies across the organization.
  • Collaboration & Advisory: Partner with cross‑functional teams—including security, finance, operations, and technology—to align analytical outputs with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Governance & Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation of data sources, analytical methods, and model assumptions to support auditability and regulatory compliance.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data analytics, preferably within risk management, compliance, or enterprise governance environments.
  • Deep expertise in SQL and hands‑on experience with data‑visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language for data science—Python or R—and familiarity with data‑engineering tools like BigQuery, Dataiku, or PowerApps.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver executive‑level dashboards and reports that simplify complex risk concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
  • Self‑motivated, growth‑oriented mindset with a passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare, retail) and familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 31000, COSO, or NIST.
  • Certification in risk management (e.g., CRMA, FRM) or data analytics (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist).
  • Knowledge of cloud‑based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data‑pipeline orchestration tools.
  • Ability to mentor junior analysts and lead cross‑functional analytics projects.
  • Exposure to governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software solutions.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to dissect large, complex data sets, identify root causes, and develop robust analytical models.
  • Strategic Thinking: Understanding of how risk analytics aligns with broader business objectives and the ability to prioritize initiatives that deliver maximum value.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with stakeholders across legal, security, finance, and technology domains.
  • Communication: Clear, concise storytelling that translates technical insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast‑paced, remote environment while managing multiple priorities and shifting deadlines.
