Key Responsibilities

  • Enter patient and medication information into arenaflex pharmacy systems with uncompromising accuracy and speed.
  • Assist the supervising pharmacist in reviewing prescription details, checking for potential drug interactions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Provide a courteous and helpful remote customer experience by answering phone calls, responding to electronic inquiries, and guiding patients to the right over‑the‑counter products.
  • Process and correct insurance claims, ensuring timely reimbursement for prescription services while maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
  • Support inventory management tasks such as logging incoming medication shipments, reconciling discrepancies, and documenting overages or shortages.
  • Participate in the pharmacy apprenticeship program, completing required training modules, certification exams, and continuing education credits.
  • Collaborate with local healthcare providers—including physicians, nurses, and long‑term care facilities—to facilitate seamless medication therapy management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant virtual workspace that reflects arenaflex’s standards for safety and professionalism.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluent written and spoken English (required for all U.S. locations, including Puerto Rico).
  • High school diploma or GED; additional coursework in health sciences, pharmacy technology, or related fields is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately with numbers—counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with data entry software, spreadsheet tools, and electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA and other privacy regulations.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Six months or more of experience in a retail or pharmacy setting.
  • Previous exposure to arenaflex’s pharmacy workflow or a similar large‑scale pharmacy chain.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy-specific software (e.g., RxConnect, PioneerRx, or comparable platforms).
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB, NHA, or state‑approved equivalent) or willingness to obtain certification through arenaflex’s apprenticeship program.
  • Experience handling insurance claim submissions and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles, including receiving, stocking, and reconciling medication supplies.
