Position Overview

Job Title: Part‑Time Remote Data Entry Specialist – Customer Service & Pharmacy Data Management Employment Type: Part‑Time (8 hours per week) Location: Remote – based in New York, USA (eligible for candidates residing in the New York metropolitan area) Compensation: $23 per hour Reporting To: Pharmacy Operations Supervisor (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Capture & Entry: Accurately input new patient registrations, prescription refill requests, and medication orders into arenaflex’s proprietary pharmacy management system, following established protocols and HIPAA privacy rules.
  • Verification & Validation: Review incoming data for completeness, resolve missing or ambiguous information, and decode clinical abbreviations (e.g., SIG codes) to ensure medication safety.
  • Patient Communication: Respond to inbound calls, chats, and messages from patients, providing clear information about prescription status, refill eligibility, and next‑step instructions.
  • Outbound Coordination: Initiate outbound calls to prescribers, patients, or third‑party payers to clarify orders, obtain authorizations, or resolve discrepancies.
  • Issue Escalation: Identify and flag complex cases or data anomalies, escalating them to senior pharmacy staff or the Quality Assurance team for further review.
  • Support Pharmacy Teams: Offer real‑time assistance to on‑site pharmacists and remote pharmacy technicians, helping them troubleshoot data‑related issues.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all interactions, updates, and resolutions in accordance with arenaflex’s compliance standards.
  • Continuous Learning: Complete required certifications within the first 90 days and maintain an active credential throughout employment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy‑related environment, retail or call‑center setting.
  • Proficient computer skills: ability to navigate multiple applications, save and print documents, and perform basic internet research.
  • Basic web browsing abilities, including URL entry, bookmarking, and using forward/back navigation.
  • Keyboarding speed of at least 25 words per minute (WPM) with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly to patients and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Advanced typing speed of 35 WPM or higher, with demonstrated ability to type from memory.
  • Previous experience delivering customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, meeting quality standards and achieving satisfaction metrics.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, enabling bilingual support for a diverse patient base.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software platforms (e.g., RxConnect, PioneerRx) or similar data‑entry systems.
