Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Greet each guest with a warm smile, acknowledge them promptly, and thank them sincerely for choosing arenaflex.
  • Efficient Checkout: Operate the cash register, scan items accurately, process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash back requests with precision.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the front‑end area, aisles, and checkout lanes tidy and organized, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Product Knowledge: Answer customer questions, locate merchandise, and provide clear explanations of pricing, promotions, and store policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist colleagues across the store as needed—whether restocking shelves, helping with inventory, or supporting special events.
  • Truck & Janitorial Support: Load and unload trucks from the parking lot, move merchandise safely inside the store, and perform routine cleaning of bathrooms, sales floor, and parking areas.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve customer concerns quickly and courteously, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, handle cash responsibly, and adhere to arenaflex’s standards for loss prevention.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1‑2 years experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably in retail or hospitality.
  • Ability to work a full‑time schedule of 8‑hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Basic math proficiency for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive motions.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets

  • Previous experience operating point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
  • Certification in customer service excellence or retail management.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a high‑volume environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and stockroom procedures.
  • Fluency in a second language (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.) is highly valued.
