You’ll design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that enable real‑time analytics, support strategic business initiatives, and drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and ETL pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and security through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring processes.
  • Build and maintain data integration workflows that ingest data from diverse sources such as CSV files, relational databases, email attachments, SmartSheet, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation scripts to improve performance and reduce latency.
  • Implement and manage data governance policies, including data lineage, metadata management, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Document architecture diagrams, data flow processes, and best‑practice guidelines to ensure knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions that meet high‑availability and reliability standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in the data engineering space and recommend innovative solutions that enhance arenaflex’s data capabilities.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience leading data engineering projects, including design and implementation of ETL pipelines.
  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining data warehouse solutions (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake) and data lake architectures on arenaflex Cloud Services (formerly AWS).
  • Hands‑on experience with arenaflex S3, Lambda, AuroraDB (MySQL), RDS, Redshift, SQS, IAM, VPC, and related infrastructure components.
  • Strong command of SQL and experience with query optimization, performance tuning, and data cleansing techniques.
  • Programming proficiency in Python, Scala, or Ruby for building data pipelines and automation scripts.
  • Familiarity with open‑source big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Experience developing reporting and visualization solutions using QuickSight, PowerBI, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and adapting to fast‑paced changes.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to project‑management platforms like SmartSheet, Asana, Honeycode, or PowerApps.
  • Knowledge of front‑end technologies (JavaScript, React) for building data‑driven UI components.
  • Background in data modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis to extract value from large datasets.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux profiling tools and advanced SQL performance tuning.
  • Hands‑on involvement in large‑scale data warehousing and analytics initiatives leveraging arenaflex Redshift, EC2, and Data Pipeline services.
  • Familiarity with non‑relational data stores such as object storage, document databases, graph databases, and columnar stores.
