  • Maintain up‑to‑date shipment records in accordance with internal record‑keeping policies and external audit requirements.
  • Adhere to all global import and export regulations, staying current on changes to trade agreements, duty rates, and compliance mandates.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (operations, finance, compliance) and external partners (carriers, brokers, government agencies) to deliver a high level of service.

  • Experience: Minimum of six months of professional experience in data entry, document processing, or a similar administrative role (experience in logistics or customs is a plus).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), familiarity with customs software platforms (e.g., Viewpoint), and comfort using standard office equipment (telephone, fax, scanner, printer).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on clarity and professionalism when interacting with clients and internal teams.
  • Core Competencies: Critical thinking, problem‑solving, ability to manage high‑volume workloads, and capacity to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Legal Requirements: HS Certificate or GED is required; eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, HTS codes, and trade agreements (e.g., NAFTA/USMCA).
  • Prior exposure to remote work environments and virtual collaboration tools (Slack, Teams, Zoom).
  • Demonstrated ability to train or mentor junior staff on data‑entry best practices.
  • Fluency in a second language, especially Spanish or Mandarin, to support diverse client bases.

  • Organizational Mastery: Efficiently manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and documentation streams simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Build trust with clients, carriers, and internal partners through proactive communication and reliable follow‑through.
  • Technology Adaptability: Quickly learn new customs platforms, data‑entry tools, and workflow automation software.
