Our mission is to combine cutting‑edge technology with a culture of safety, integrity, and collaboration. We are looking for a passionate, self‑driven Remote IT Security Analyst to join our Data Security team and help shape the future of risk management at arenaflex.

Why This Role Matters – The Impact You’ll Have

In this position, you will serve as a second‑line defender of arenaflex’s information security posture. You will work closely with cross‑functional IT teams, internal audit, legal, and external auditors to design, implement, and monitor controls that mitigate risk across the enterprise. Your contributions will directly influence how arenaflex safeguards sensitive data, complies with industry regulations, and drives continuous improvement in security operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment & Reporting: Identify, assess, and communicate security and compliance risks across business, application, and infrastructure domains.
  • Control Design & Implementation: Partner with IT stakeholders to develop, document, and enforce controls that align with SOX, PCI‑DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Control Testing & Validation: Conduct periodic control effectiveness testing, work with owners to remediate gaps, and maintain evidence for audit readiness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between security, engineering, operations, and audit teams to ensure consistent understanding of risk and control expectations.
  • Training & Enablement: Deliver security awareness and control‑testing training to IT partners, fostering a risk‑aware culture throughout the organization.
  • Documentation & Metrics: Produce clear, concise documentation of control frameworks, testing procedures, and risk metrics for senior leadership review.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to existing controls, processes, and tools based on emerging threats, industry best practices, and audit findings.
  • Project Support: Evaluate security implications of new technology initiatives, providing risk assessments and mitigation strategies for upcoming projects.
  • Ad‑hoc Assignments: Undertake special projects and investigations as directed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive mindset.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT environment with a focus on risk management, security controls, or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001/27002, COSO, and PCI‑DSS.
  • Hands‑on experience assessing and testing controls in areas like application development, infrastructure, cloud services, and business processes.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work setting.
  • Self‑starter who thrives in an independent environment while maintaining strong collaboration with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with security tools and platforms (e.g., RSA Archer, ServiceNow GRC, Qualys, or similar).
  • Background in data security domains such as incident response, identity & access management, vulnerability management, or e‑discovery.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance audits and the ability to prepare audit evidence packages.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (airline, finance, healthcare, etc.).
  • Advanced degree (MS) in a related field is a plus.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex security problems, identify root causes, and propose pragmatic solutions.
  • Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal skills for creating clear documentation, presenting findings, and influencing stakeholders.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Commitment to delivering secure experiences that protect customers and uphold arenaflex’s reputation.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust priorities based on emerging threats, business needs, and regulatory changes.
  • Collaboration: Team‑oriented approach that values diverse perspectives and fosters a culture of shared responsibility for security.
  • Integrity & Ethics: Unwavering dedication to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with corporate policies.
