Proprietary Investment Trader – NextGen Coding Company Location: United States (Remote) Engagement: Contract Compensation: Performance-Based
Overview
The ideal candidate has a proven history of growing trading accounts through disciplined execution, risk management, and repeatable strategies. This role is designed for traders who can demonstrate strong performance across equities, options, futures, ETFs, or other U.S.-based financial instruments. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their trading methodology, risk management framework, historical performance, and experience scaling capital over time. Core Responsibilities
- Execute trades in U.S. equities, options, ETFs, futures, or other approved instruments
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities using technical, quantitative, fundamental, or hybrid strategi
- Develop, test, and refine trading systems and methodologies
- Maintain strict risk management and capital preservation standards
- Monitor market conditions, economic events, earnings releases, and other market catalyst
- Track trading performance and maintain detailed trading records
- Produce periodic performance reports and strategy revie
- Collaborate with leadership on trading objectives and capital deployment decisions
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated track record of profitable trading in U.S. financial markets
- Strong understanding of market structure, liquidity, volatility, and risk management
- Experience trading equities, options, futures, or related products
- Ability to independently develop and execute trading strategies
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Experience using professional trading platforms and market research tools
- Excellent discipline and emotional control during changing market conditions
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience as a proprietary trader, portfolio manager, or active independent trends
- History of successfully growing trading accounts through consistent performance
- Quantitative, systematic, or algorithmic trading experience
- Experience with Python, TradingView, Pine Script, Thinkorswim, or similar tools
- Familiarity with backtesting and performance analytics
