Remote Nurse Practitioner (Telehealth – Urgent Care)

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, medical history review.
- Diagnose acute illnesses and injuries, utilizing clinical judgment and evidence-based guidelines to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Document all patient encounters accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
- Manage triage calls and prioritize patient needs effectively to deliver prompt care and support.
- Must be licensed to practice in California
Experience
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently in a telehealth setting.
- Proven experience in urgent care or emergency medicine environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Familiarity with medical coding systems like CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for documentation accuracy.
- Knowledge of pharmacology related to pain management, psychopharmacology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health interventions.
- Prior telehealth experience is preferred; candidates should be comfortable managing remote patient interactions efficiently and compassionately.
