Mid-Level Software Developer (JavaScript / Terraform / Java)- Remote
Mid-Level Software Developer (JavaScript / Terraform / Java) Remote, US 6 Months (with potential extension) Pay Rate: $60.00 to $65.00 per hr. We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer with 3–4 years of experience to support critical modernization efforts for our Missionary Referral Processing systems. This is a high-visibility role within a Christ-centered team that values inspiration, collaboration, and forward-thinking development. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in JavaScript, Terraform, and Java, with working knowledge of the Amazon SDK. If you also bring experience in Python automation and Playwright (TypeScript), that's a strong plus. Key Responsibilities:
- Work through a prioritized backlog of modernization and maintenance tasks on the Missionary Referral Processing system
- Collaborate closely with a team of developers, QAs, and functional analysts in a remote Agile environment
- Help architect and implement improvements to prepare the system for significantly increased production load
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to infrastructure improvements using Terraform
- Integrate and optimize interactions with AWS services using the Amazon SDK
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- JavaScript (Front-end or Back-end)
- Terraform (for infrastructure as code)
- Java (especially with integration into AWS)
- Familiarity with the Amazon SDK
Bonus Skills:
- Python scripting and automation
- Experience with Playwright (TypeScript) for automated testing
- Previous SDET or full-stack automation experience
