Job Responsibilities

As a Lead Engineer in our Infrastructure Voice team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing telephony services using open-source technology, including Asterisk and Kamailio
  • Configuring and customizing telephony systems to meet business needs while ensuring high availability and reliability of telephony services
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest open-source telephony technology and trends
  • Using DevOps skills to automate deployment of applications and changes with CI/CD pipelines
  • Using APIs to automate tasks and responsibilities
  • Managing Voice Store era hardware, including Music player systems (amplifiers and speakers), customer assistance buttons, and overhead paging
  • Creating dashboarding to help with tracking and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Session Border Controllers (SBCs)
  • Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to implement and troubleshoot solutions, while providing technical expertise
  • Partnering with business specialists to understand needs while working to build solutions to achieve business goals
  • Working with store support companies and offshore support teams to manage incidents in a timely manner
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities

Required Skillsets

* 4-year degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Telephony experience in a professional setting
  • Experience with open-source technology (Asterisk, Kamailio, or similar)
  • Experience with APIs to automate tasks and responsibilities pipelines
  • Innate preference to learn and constantly develop technical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrates deep and broad knowledge in multiple computer languages and frameworks (e.g., open-source)
  • Designs, develops, and approves end-to-end functionality of a product line, platform, or infrastructure
  • Communicates and coordinates with project team, partners, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrates knowledge in evaluation and optimization of system capacity, performance, and operational health
  • Understands and develops solutions to foster data lifecycle management
  • Maintains deep technical knowledge within areas of expertise
  • Stays up-to-date with new and evolving technology through formal education and self-directed learning

Work Environment and Company Culture

This role will perform as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on arenaflex's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means that the team member's core function will need to be completed both on-site at the arenaflex HQ MN region the function is assigned to and virtually, depending on what your function, team, and responsibilities require for that day. Work responsibilities cannot be completed outside of the United States of the primary work region, unless otherwise prescribed by arenaflex.
