Interior Design Assistant

A Pretty Neat Place is an interior design company in the Greater Boston Area. Our expertise is a blend of home decor, interior styling, and professional organization. It is our job to ‘get’ our clients' style and we make recommendations based on what they like. We strive to understand our clients’ goals and openly discuss trade-offs to maximize any budget. We’re here to think strategically and identify solutions that don’t require expensive or time-consuming remodels. We are looking to hire a part-time Interior Design Assistant as our client load continues to increase. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn about Interior Design while providing excellent administrative and client service skills to increase the Owner's overall capacity. Core Responsibilities

  • Use interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors; Manage ordering and collaborate with vendors and other third-parties to align timelines
  • Organize client folders and materials, take meeting notes, and prepare presentations or tear sheets
  • Source furniture, furnishings, fabrics, materials, and finishes
  • Create and manage schedules for aspects of each project (e.g. furniture schedule, plumbing schedule)
  • Assist with developing design concepts and 3D renderings or mood boards
  • Provide design input as needed

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (any major)
  • 4 or more years of work experience, preferably in an administrative or customer service role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and vendor interaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; must be a self starter
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Experience with Google Workspace a plus

Job Type: Contract Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week Benefits:
