Accountant
Tacton is a global leader in software for manufacturers of complex products, seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their Finance team. The role involves managing the customer invoicing process, ensuring accurate billing and revenue recognition, and supporting various accounting operations within a SaaS environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end customer invoicing process
- Interpret customer agreements to ensure accurate billing schedules and revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
- Record incoming payments and perform account reconciliations
- Collaborate closely with Revenue Operations and the Renewal Manager to ensure alignment and accuracy
- Support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities, including processing supplier invoices, supplier payments, sales tax, tax filing in collaboration with accounting form, payroll accounting, and expenses
- Assist with financial analysis, reporting, and insights related to revenue and key performance metrics
- Contribute to FP&A activities, including forecasting and variance analysis
Skills
- Proven experience in invoicing and accounts receivable, preferably in a complex or high-volume environment
- Working knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS, including revenue recognition principles
- Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Workday and/or Salesforce is a plus
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and insights
- Experience in FP&A, including forecasting and variance analysis, is a plus
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a focus on meeting deadlines
