Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Drexel University is seeking a Research Associate I to contribute to the Life Course Outcomes Research Program within the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute. The role involves managing data collection, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and assisting with qualitative and quantitative research to develop fidelity tools for evaluating interventions in the autism community.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage communications, meetings, and outputs of the research team and Community Advisory Boards (CAB)
  • Conduct qualitative interviews with stakeholders, including autistic individuals, caregivers, and practitioners
  • Help maintain and manage datasets, and maintain clear and detailed documentation necessary to maintain databases and analyses
  • Participate in the dissemination of research findings via preparation of abstracts for presentation at scientific conferences and manuscripts for peer-review publication; contribute to preliminary data for grant applications
  • Recruitment and scheduling of participants
  • Assist with managing lab materials, ordering, and data
  • Develop positive collaborative relationships with colleagues at Drexel University and external stakeholders; communicate professionally and in a timely manner with collaborators
  • Maintain meticulous and well-organized records related to internal and external communications, project management, analyses, databases, and all other aspects of the job
  • May supervise student Research Assistants and Research Coordinators
  • Review data and ensure quality assurance
  • Assist with, submit, and manage federal and local regulatory compliance activities, including IRB protocols, progress reports, and all required submissions
  • Other project activities as assigned by the PI
  • Create, manage, and distribute REDcap-based surveys at various stages of the project

Skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum of At least 1 years of experience in research coordination, data collection, and/or stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Strong organizational, task management, project management, event planning, and/or communication skills
  • Experience working with autistic individuals or related stakeholder groups
  • Familiarity with participatory or community-engaged research approaches and/or Delphi methodology
  • Experiencing working with and/or evincing appreciation for the role of lived experience in the context of research activities
  • Ability to function independently, be a creative thinker, and demonstrate strong compassion and support for those with autism and their families
  • Experience contributing to the development and implementation of autism-focused research efforts, with a focus on practical data collection and engagement practices
  • Master's preferred in Psychology, Education, Public Health, or related field
  • Ability to multi-task, and work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team in a fast paced, high growth environment
  • Capability within Microsoft Office programs including: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
