The Project Manager leads cross-functional projects that support key operational, business, and organizational initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing assigned projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.

As part of this role, the Project Manager works to understand and balance the needs of project stakeholders, identify key risks and dependencies, and apply both discipline and creativity to develop project plans that meet organizational objectives and deliver results. The Project Manager works closely with functional leaders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to drive progress and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned cross-functional projects from planning through execution and closeout, ensuring objectives, scope, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined and achieved.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, documentation, and status reporting to ensure transparency and alignment with project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate work across functional teams, helping to clarify roles, responsibilities, dependencies, and sequencing of work.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and resource constraints; escalate as appropriate with recommended paths forward.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate project goals into actionable plans and ensure progress across operational and technology-related workstreams.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and decision points to keep initiatives moving forward and teams aligned.
  • Provide regular updates to project sponsors and leadership on status, risks, and key decisions.
  • Support consistent project management practices within assigned initiatives, reinforcing clear planning, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project execution by sharing lessons learned and effective practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervision Received

Reports to the EVP of Strategic Initiatives with project-specific direction received from shared services and functional leaders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing medium to large, cross-functional projects.
  • Experience leading initiatives involving operational improvement, business process change, and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in dynamic environments.
  • Experience working with project management methodologies such as waterfall, agile, or hybrid approaches.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, information systems, project management, or a related field.
  • Project management certification (PMP or similar).
  • Experience partnering with technical teams or working on projects with significant IT components.

Knowledge of

  • Core project management principles and practices.
  • Business operations and process improvement concepts.
  • Project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoho Projects, MS Teams, or similar).

Skills

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to navigate conversations with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Abilities

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate others to meet difficult timelines with limited resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively to adjust to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines with a commitment to teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work both independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a diverse community and promote diverse perspectives, cultures, and an inclusive environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of applicable information

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position typically works Monday-Friday during day shift hours. Business needs may sometimes require long hours and weekend work.

Travel

Generally, this position does not require travel; some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required for training or project work; less than 10%
