Help clients make smarter asset decisions. As our Strategic Appraisal Services Consultant, you’ll be the go-to expert for trusted valuations on equipment, vehicles, and other assets. You’ll build relationships, uncover new opportunities beyond the auction space, and deliver insights that help clients navigate financing, insurance, and asset management with confidence.

The Strategic Appraisal Services Consultant will be the primary point of contact for clients seeking expert valuation services for equipment, vehicles, and assets. This position will focus on identifying, engaging, and securing business opportunities outside of the auction environment, providing clients with trusted valuation solutions that inform financing, insurance, and asset management decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial clients across banking, construction, agriculture, and fleet industries.

  • Identify new business opportunities for Purple Wave appraisal services, including equipment, trucks, and farm assets.

  • Consult with clients to understand their valuation needs and recommend tailored appraisal solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal appraisal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and client-focused valuation reports.

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and service contracts to prospective clients.

  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, asset values, and sector-specific valuation challenges.

  • Represent Purple Wave as a trusted advisor and promote the company’s appraisal services beyond auctions.

  • Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

  • None

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or client management, preferably in banking, construction, agriculture, or fleet asset management.

  • 4-6 years of above referenced experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of equipment and asset valuation concepts is a plus, but technical appraisal experience is not required.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

  • Comfortable traveling to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.

  • Spanish speaking bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

  • Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check.

  • Candidates must possess a valid state driver's license.

Working Settings:

  • Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime.

  • Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, Central Time zone, additional hours may be required depending on priorities.

  • This position is remote work eligible within the United States. Please be aware: the first week of employment includes mandatory in-person training. Remote start arrangements are not available.

  • Potential for 35-40% travel.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation:

  • The salary varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 per year.

  • Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result.

  • Monthly phone stipend in accordance with the Company’s cell phone policy, currently $120/month.

  • Company vehicle provided.

  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.

  • 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment.

  • Company-paid Life Insurance with options for supplemental coverage.

  • Fully paid Short-Term Disability provided by the Company.

  • 3 Weeks of PTO annually (details shared during onboarding).

  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) - Eligible to purchase company stock at a discount after 90 days of employment, with enrollment opportunities each May and November.
