Accountant
LHB, Inc. is a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and planning firm based in Duluth, Minnesota. They are seeking an Accountant I to support their Finance team with project accounting, billing, and financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial data across projects.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain projects in the ERP system
- Manage project billing terms and budgets
- Prepare customer invoicing and revenue recognition entries
- Prepare sales journals in accordance with ASC 606 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers
- Review accounts payable related to projects and subconsultants
- Manage subconsultant fees and related documentation
- Assist project managers with project financial reporting and analysis
- Assist with month-end close entries and financial statement preparation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (May 2026 graduates considered)
- Microsoft Office skills

- Experience with project-based ERP systems
- Experience in construction and/or professional services industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to read and interpret professional services contracts
- Demonstrated auditing or compliance-related skills
