Position Overview The Data Entry Specialist – First Shift at remotehirings is responsible for operating the Production Control Booth, capturing, validating, and disseminating critical production data. This role ensures that information flows seamlessly between engineering, logistics, and field operations, enabling timely decision‑making and flawless execution of aircraft maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Control Booth Management: Initiate and monitor the daily production schedule, entering work orders, part numbers, and status updates into the central MRO system.
• Data Accuracy & Validation: Verify the correctness of incoming data from suppliers, technicians, and quality inspectors before it is uploaded to the system.
• Real‑Time Reporting: Generate and distribute shift reports, highlighting bottlenecks, inventory shortages, and any deviations from the planned workflow.
• Cross‑Functional Coordination: Liaise with the Production Control Manager, logistics coordinators, and engineering leads to resolve data discrepancies and ensure alignment across teams.
• Document Control: Maintain electronic and hard‑copy records of production logs, change orders, and compliance documentation in accordance with FAA and ISO standards.
• Problem Solving: Identify root causes of data entry errors, propose corrective actions, and implement preventive measures to improve data integrity.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in Kaizen events, suggest workflow enhancements, and contribute to the development of best‑practice SOPs for data handling.
• Ad‑Hoc Tasks: Perform additional duties assigned by the Production Control Manager, including special projects, audit support, and training of new staff.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional data entry experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing, logistics, or aviation environment.
• Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably an MRO‑specific platform (e.g., AMOS, Trax, or SAP).
• Exceptional typing speed (≥70 wpm) with an accuracy rate of 98 % or higher.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot inconsistencies and resolve them promptly.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated reliability in adhering to first‑shift (day) schedules, including occasional overtime during peak production periods.
• Working knowledge of aviation terminology, part numbering conventions, and regulatory compliance (FAA, EASA) is a distinct advantage.
