Key Responsibilities

As our Director of Sales Strategy and Customer Development, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing long-term sales strategies and annual sales plans that align with our business objectives
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Costco buying management, leveraging your expertise to provide valuable insights into consumer profiles and trends
  • Collaborating with the Costco GMM to develop regional event volume strategies, address discrepancies in expected volume, and influence changes to adjust volume back on track
  • Creating and overseeing the implementation of new programs and services for Costco and its vendors, driving growth and innovation in the process
  • Setting annual and monthly sales objectives, ensuring alignment with our CDS business plan
  • Analyzing market trends and consumer insights to inform sales strategies and drive business growth
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of our customers' needs, preferences, and pain points

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in a sales leadership position, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management, with a focus on managing relationships with major retailers like Costco
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills, with a focus on driving business growth and innovation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and consumer insights
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and strategies to senior stakeholders
