The Role

As a Full Stack Customer Service Associate, you'll be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with their claims. Your primary responsibility will be to respond to inbound telephone inquiries, initiate auto and homeowner claims, and provide customers with clear explanations of the claim process. You'll also be responsible for efficiently and accurately completing customer inquiries regarding the status of existing claims, ensuring all customer interactions are clearly and accurately documented in the claim file.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to inbound telephone inquiries in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Initiate auto and homeowner claims by obtaining preliminary loss information from agents, insureds, and third parties
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of the claim process, including next steps and expectations
  • Authorize services such as roadside assistance and rental cars as needed
  • Responsible for efficient and accurate completion of customer inquiries regarding the status of existing claims
  • Ensure all customer interactions are clearly and accurately documented in the claim file
  • Maintain job knowledge through intermittent training/learning and incorporate new information into daily tasks

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Remote contact center experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
  • Assumes personal responsibility for actions
  • Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Possesses strong technical aptitude, including the ability to master multiple windows simultaneously
  • Typing skills: 30 WPM, with 90% accuracy, required

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a claims contact center environment

  • Familiarity with insurance industry practices and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed

Work Environment:

* This role operates in a remote work environment, requiring a dedicated workspace free of noise and distractions

  • Ability to listen to, interpret, and differentiate auditory information at normal speaking levels with or without correction
  • Visually verifies and reads information and locates material, resources, and other objects
  • Ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift
  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift
