Job Overview

The Staff Accountant focuses on the "preparation" of financial data and transactional accuracy. This position ensures the accuracy of the general ledger through meticulous record-keeping and proactive reconciliation of key accounts.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger: Prepare and record journal entries for month-end close; perform elimination entries and provide close and tax support.
• Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations; manage debt roll forwards and interest rate swap entries; perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts as assigned.
• Accruals: Maintain and record accruals for Warranties, Employee Benefits, Commissions, and Interest Expenses.
• Fixed Assets: Manage Fixed Asset and Software capitalization schedules, including depreciation entries.
• Revenue Support: Maintain Giftcard liability schedules, calculate Bass Pro Revenue shares, and handle marketing website discount reclassifications.
• Cash Management: Review daily cash balances and execute internal transfers; monitor interest income.
• Equity: Assist with equity roll forwards and maintaining audit-ready workbooks.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–4 years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with cloud-based ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Driven, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy with a willingness to learn and collaborate.
• Ability to work overtime during month-end and special projects.
