Job description: High School is currently seeking energetic and motivated candidates eligible for or in possession of Science certification.
Teacher responsible for developing and delivering instruction in both inclusive and self-contained classroom settings and be willing to collaborate daily with other educators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology to students in grades 9-12
- Able to work with students in a secondary school placement
- Works cooperatively with all staff and parents
- Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
- Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
- Strives to implement by instruction and action the district's mission statement.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
- Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Initial, Continuing or Advanced Delaware Advanced Licensure
- Certified in Core Content
