Finance and Accounting Consultant
Crowe is one of the largest public accounting, consulting, and technology firms in the United States, seeking a Finance and Accounting Consultant to join their dynamic team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality Client Accounting Services, contributing to accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives while developing technical and client service skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple client engagements
- Perform general ledger maintenance, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data through detailed review and documentation
- Assist in preparing Management Reporting Packages for client delivery
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management processes as needed
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Coordinate with tax professionals to gather and organize required tax reporting information
- Maintain compliance with Crowe’s independence and risk governance framework
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with implementing best practices
- Support client meetings by preparing materials, reports, and follow-up documentation
- Manage assigned tasks across multiple engagements while meeting deadlines
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- 1-3+ years of experience in outsourced accounting, Client Accounting Services (CAS), or public accounting
- Foundational knowledge of GAAP
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with accounting and financial systems such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Bill.com, Ramp, ADP, Paycor, Gusto, Expensify, and intermediate to advanced Excel
- Travel up to 10–20% as needed
- CPA, CMA, CGMA, ACCA, or progress toward certification preferred
