Key Responsibilities

As our Data Entry & Office Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Editor-in-Chief and contributing to the smooth operation of our publication. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Editor-in-Chief's schedule and coordinating with team members to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Handling incoming correspondence, including opening, sorting, and distributing mail and emails
  • Providing exceptional customer service via email or phone, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborating with article writers, photographers, cartoonists, and marketing professionals to ensure the successful publication of our journal
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases, using Microsoft Office and Google Suite to streamline administrative tasks
  • Developing and implementing efficient systems to improve business processes and productivity
  • Providing administrative support to the Editor-in-Chief and other team members as needed

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess:

  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with experience using these tools to manage administrative tasks and databases
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of your work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, we welcome applicants with:

  • Experience in digital photography and/or fine arts, with a passion for creative expression and innovation
  • A background in administration, with a focus on data entry, office management, and customer service
  • Familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms, with experience creating engaging content and managing online communities
