Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative – Claims Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary liaison for customers, providing clear, professional communication and problem resolution
  • Educating and guiding customers on required documentation, timeframes, and claim status updates
  • Accurately inputting claim data into internal systems
  • Assigning new claims to the appropriate team member
  • Ensuring customer calls are routed to the correct department

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (call center experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of disability plan eligibility and claims processing is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC use
  • Organized, team-oriented, and able to meet performance goals

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Experience working in a claims support or customer service environment
  • Knowledge of disability plan eligibility and claims processing
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
