Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Storage Administrator to join our team and lead the development and implementation of our enterprise storage solutions and cloud infrastructure. As a key member of our IT department, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our storage systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet our customers' expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage solutions and cloud infrastructure, including NAS, SAN, and DAS systems
- Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure high availability and data integrity
- Collaborate with application, database, server, and other technology teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders on data storage and cloud infrastructure best practices
- Develop and maintain documentation for daily and ad-hoc tasks, including code updates and security patches
- Perform code updates and security patches to maintain the health and security of storage systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend new solutions to improve our storage infrastructure
Requirements
* 3 years of experience in data storage or a related field, with a focus on networking and storage protocols
- Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation
- Strong understanding of business storage architecture, with expertise in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
- Familiarity with current and emerging data security innovations
- Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
- Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
- Operating system framework organization skills (both Linux and Windows)
- VMWare concepts and organization
- Proficient in providing clear and well-organized documentation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Active involvement in project life-cycle management
- Broad investigating and execution checking skills
- Ability to work autonomously under broad guidance
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (a combination of training, work experience, and education may be considered)
- Experience with cloud storage solutions, such as Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of data analytics and business intelligence tools
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins and GitLab
