Scope of Work:

Kent is looking for a Senior Process Safety Engineer - outside IR35 - to support projects on an ad-hoc basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Execute Safety Engineering activities and deliverables, as required, in support of work scopes on projects and studies.
  • Conducting safety scopes (experience in consequence analysis using DNV Phast, QRA, Formal Safety. Assessments, Safety Case/COMAH, etc is essential) for major hazard industries.
  • Technical report authorship.
  • Ensure the agreed scope of work or studies are completed within the allocated timeframe.
  • Preparing technical reports to a high standard

Key Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering (or related) subject.
  • Chartered with a relevant institution.
  • Experience working in Process/Technical Safety, preferably in the Energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of QRA and other safety techniques, including consequence analysis (preferably PHAST software), with proven experience in conducting such studies.
  • Familiar with relevant legislation and industry standards and able to apply this knowledge and advise clients in relation to these, such as COMAH and Safety Case Regulations etc.
