DevOps Engineer

About the Role: We are looking for a DevOps engineer with a passion for infrastructure as code. We create tools used by all of Aura and we take pride in building at a massive scale. We help with every aspect of the software development lifecycle within Aura, and are thought leaders guiding teams to a consistent and stable future.

• We write code! We are tool agnostic, but expect you to be able to read code and create solutions using code

• We often generate code with AI, but this is a cybersecurity company so you will be expected to know what your code does before you deploy it

• We are a fully remote team, and value ownership and proactive communication

• We are growing and want to increase our reach and velocity

Day to Day

• Create tools for use by all of Aura in multiple languages and paradigms. EG Serverless / Containers. Doesn’t mean you have to have experience with all of these, but a willingness to learn, and a willingness to dive in

• Investigate better ways to enable teams to deploy and manage networks and product deployments

• Assist with deployments using Terraform and GH Actions

• Debug cloud issues when development teams need assistance

• Offer design assistance for teams trying new stuff. Help offer vision and strategic optimization to ensure we move forward quickly, and securely

What you bring to the table

• 5+ years of experience

• Passion for cloud computing and a helpful and curious attitude

• Experience writing Infrastructure as code

• Experience with any programming language

• An eye for detail

• A willingness to engage with multiple teams to solve problems

• Ownership

It would be great if you also had

• Experience with Serverless or Containerized Deployments

• Logging and Monitoring strategies at scale

• Especially Cloudwatch and Grafana

• Experience with Python or Typescript

• Experience with a data lake or large data ETL infrastructure

• Experience optimizing costs in cloud
