Job Summary The Medical Affairs Intern will provide assistance and support the Medical Affairs team across Medical Information, Scientific Communications, Field Insights, and Strategic Planning initiatives. Medical Affairs collaborates across the organization to ensure providers receive clear, evidence-based information that supports safe and effective patient care. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the role of Medical Affairs within the biotech industry, including literature evaluation, insight analysis, and development of scientific materials for internal and field use. This will be a twelve-week summer internship focusing primarily on Medical Affairs in the biotech industry. The internship will culminate in a final presentation.

Job requirements

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in pharmacy, nursing, life sciences, or a related scientific discipline
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Strong interest in Medical Affairs and the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
    • Interest in artificial intelligence and its application in healthcare (preferred)
    • Demonstrates proactive thinking, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote environment
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. You will be asked for written authorization prior to the commencement of background checks.

Job responsibilities

  • Attend meetings and support team in development of Medical Affairs plans for marketed and pipeline products
  • Assist in medical insight data analyses, data capture and metric reporting
  • Work with Insight Liaison on the development of field training materials
  • Support development of medical information materials for field medical personnel
  • Demonstrate ability in conduct literature search, including selection, evaluation, summary and communication of related disease state research.
  • Prepare a presentation to provide an overview of assigned projects, key achievements, lessons learned, and suggestions to optimize intern program
